It can be hard to know how much you should be spending on ads when you’re starting out as an online coach.
There are a few things to consider before you even turn on an ad to make sure it has the right impact.
This is why we follow a very defined process at PropaneBusiness to help us make a decision on our ad spending.
If you’re converting 3-5% of leads into clients (or more) through your 14-day challenge, we know that running ads in this process will likely make some sales.
You ultimately need a sales sequence that will convert as click-lead-client.
Because without this, you’ll just end up just paying a big Facebook Ads bill with nothing to show for it.

Ask yourself what each client is worth. This can be the price they pay on day one, or their "lifetime value".
Most of our clients pay £150-200 on the first transaction. But they’ll pay £2-3,000 over the course of their time working with us.
With this in mind, we think it’s well worth spending £150 on ads to acquire just one client.
If you’re new to online coaching, it’s likely that at some point you’ve spent the day preparing to go live on Facebook in the hope that a few people download your e-book. Or maybe you’ve spent hours on Instagram creating infographics in the hope that someone sends you a DM.
But when you get to know your system and understand the numbers, you soon realise that this is pointless without knowing exactly where your sales are coming from.
